Bobby and Athena have been married for 4 years, but they never had the honeymoon of their dreams with trips to exotic places, staying in big hotels, enjoying the life of newlyweds. This reason comes from the fact that the two have a very busy and chaotic life in the city of Los Angeles. Bobby is the Captain of Fire Station 118, and Athena is an LAPD Sergeant. Due to daily occurrences, they never stopped to think about a honeymoon trip, but that destiny was about to change.
Missing exclusive time with his wife, Bobby made the decision to book a cruise ship for his long-awaited honeymoon, but as always, their chaotic lives took the lead and forced them to cancel the trip, more once the lives of first responders taking first place.
After the sudden cancellation of his trip, Bobby was looking for some travel options on his cell phone when he received a call from the company that booked the cruise trip saying that they had an unforeseen problem with the first scheduled date and that it was necessary to make an adjustment to the tickets, this transfer date would be made for the following day at 10:00 am, excited by the news he immediately accepted the tickets. Happy with the news, he contacted Athena, who was in the kitchen preparing dinner.
— Athena — he called excitedly — You have no idea the call I received, it was from the cruise staff saying they needed to reschedule the trip, they asked if we were interested.—- And then? What did you answer?
— I said yes, of course! — Her eyes shone with happiness.
— Oh, Bobby? — At the same moment, her husband's face changed — Oh, you know what... We're going! We haven't had alone time in years!
— Serious? — A smile spread from ear to ear and he gave him a fiery kiss — Well, then I'm going to call the staff and let them know that I won't be working for the next few days and start packing my bags. Ah, I almost forgot, it's scheduled for tomorrow at 10:00 am!
— Ok, Mr. Cheerful, I'm also going to call work and pack my bags!
The two tried to call their jobs to discuss the days they would be absent due to the trip.
THE NEXT DAY:
Bobby and Athena arrived at the port early, they were very happy to finally be able to have their dream honeymoon trip. After parking the car, Bobby went to get his luggage to finally get on board the cruise and start the trip.
Once settled in their cabin, Bobby presented Athena with some ideas for nighttime activities on the cruise.
— We have a skydiving simulator, a climbing wall, this must be incredible! There are also shows, a casino, bowling... Wow!
— What?
— They have a skating rink! This is incredible!... Let's do it? — Her eyes shone with emotion. — It's been years since I skated!
— There's a good option!... But we have a problem, I don't know how to skate.
— I'll teach you, it's not that difficult!
— Perfect! So, I'll go get changed and meet you there, okay? Go to the front so we don't get in too long a queue. I'll be down in 20 minutes.
— OK! This is going to be awesome! — Bobby gave him a kiss and left the room to head towards the skating rink.
Athena wasn't feeling very comfortable being on the ship, she was a little afraid of ships and wasn't very used to being alone with her husband, so this sudden change in routine shook her a little, especially the idea of being alone with Bobby. She was trying to hide this feeling from him in order not to ruin her husband's plans and fun, but that wouldn't last for long.
ON THE SKATING RACK:
Bobby was already distressed by Athena's delay in getting ready, so he thought about calling her and asking if he didn't need help or if something had happened, that's when his eyes ran to the horizon and came across the love of his life, Athena , it felt like his world was in slow motion as he saw her walking towards him. Every step she took, he became more mesmerized by his wife, he only had eyes for her, only her, he would do anything to make this woman happy. Bobby looked at her with a shy smile as she approached her.
— And then, let's find out if you're a good roller skate teacher! - She smiled.
— My love, you're talking to the junior figure skating champion, do you really think I wouldn't know how to teach you? — He took Athena by the hand and they entered the track.
Bobby started teaching what he knew to his loved one, it took a while for her to get used to the skates and have more confidence in going alone. After a few tries, the two lovebirds were gliding lightly on the ice, the minutes seemed to not exist while they were together. Bobby felt so good next to his wife that he seemed to be on cloud nine in the moments he was with her.
They had so much fun that they didn't even realize the time was up. The instructor had to warn them that the next group was already waiting to enter.
Leaving the track:
— Wow, that was really good, I hadn’t practiced in years! And you like it?
— I loved it! Until you are a good teacher!
— I warned you!... And you still doubted my abilities. — They both laughed. — What do you think we take a shower and order food in our room?
— As for me, it's okay, I'm starving!
— Right! So we'll have dinner and relax a little, how about that? — She proposed with a smirk and with narrowed eyes, a sign that she was going to "get ready".
— Fine by me!
The two walked hand in hand towards the bedroom. Once there, Athena went straight to the shower while Bobby ordered dinner. It was time for them to take a shower so the waiter arrived with dinner. They ate together watching their favorite series, Grey's Anatomy, watched 2 episodes and decided to go to sleep, this was a good opportunity to relax.
— Until it's not too late, what do you think about having some more fun? — he whispered in Athena's ear while he had her wrapped in his arms.
— Oh, Bobby, I don't know... I'm very tired!
— Oh, love, come on! I'm dying to be with you. It's our first night here and I wanted it to be special! I have some great ideas that you will like! — he gave a brief smile combined with a very convincing face.
— Oh, no, Bobby, not today. I'm tired and dying to sleep. — Athena left her husband's arms, pulled the blanket and covered herself up to her neck, without the slightest intention of continuing the conversation.
At the same moment, Bobby felt a little confused by Athena's attitude and what he had just heard. Athena was not one to reject him, on the contrary, she was the first to propose and now she was refusing to stay with her man. He found this attitude strange, but let it go, he thought it could be something in her head and that Athena was just wanting to sleep. Now all that was left was to go to sleep too, after all, there's no way to have fun alone, but he thought her behavior was strange.
