Lexington, Kentucky Robert Jay Heiple 1947 — 2024 Robert Jay Heiple, 77, died June 16, 2024 peacefully in his home after celebrating Father's Day with his wife, kids and grandkids in Lexington, KY. He was born on April 9, 1947 to the late Russell John Heiple and Clara Fulop Heiple in Johnstown, PA. Robert was an avid reader, story-teller, world traveler, and was a Pittsburgh sports enthusiast. After graduating Lafayette College in 1970, Robert married Janet McMackin Heiple at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Oradell, NJ on July 4, 1970. Shortly thereafter he received his MBA from the University of Michigan, spending his career in corporate finance, retiring after a debilitating stroke in 2012.
